Monitoring and Evaluation Statistics

Since Medical Services Pacific (MSP) began in Fiji, it has reached a total of 94,755 clients (clinical outreach/OSS), provided over 271,173 services, delivered 174,955 family planning products, distributed 161,909 condoms and provided 3,856 cervical screenings. 3,550 clients accessed counselling services, 35,800 calls to the Child Helpline, 1,180 clients accessed Legal Aid and 549 women and girls received holistic care and clinic services in the post rape care program at MSP.

The above graph clearly shows that the services provided by MSP has steadily increased over the years.

MSP Impact to date

The table below shows a steady increase in aversion rates. In 2017 records the highest figures so far. In 2015, we realized that in order to make a significant impact we needed to promote and deliver longer term contraception. This approach showed results in 2017.

Finding: Longer term contraception provides greater coverage and reduces maternal and infant mortality rates. Maintain this impact requires regular follow up visits and steady funding.
